A Message from the Principal

Mr. John M. Fanning, PrincipalDear Parents,

As we prepare to begin the 2015-2016 school year at Calabasas School, we are energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure that they are met. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students, and engaging the community, it is our goal at Calabasas that all students are given the necessary tools to be successful.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Calabasas, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your students to a new school year. The caring and dedicated faculty and staff of Calabasas will continue to encourage all students to set high goals for themselves and to reach for their ultimate best.

It is our hope that all students choose to get involved in our school through athletics, music, fine arts, student leadership, community volunteerism, school activities, and clubs. Working together, we can ensure that the students of Calabasas continue to achieve their highest potential. We greatly appreciate your involvement, partnership, and support during the school year as we work to build and maintain our programs.

We sincerely hope that you will take the time to look through our web pages and learn about the opportunities available to all students who are members of the Calabasas Professional Learning Community.

I am confident that this will be an outstanding school year and look forward to working with the staff and community to continue the Calabasas tradition of excellence!

Bricks and mortar make a building. When you combine a caring staff, students who come to school to receive a quality education, a supportive parent and community base, a solid curriculum, and an incredible learning environment together with bricks and mortar, you have yourself a Professional Learning Community. You have CALABASAS SCHOOL!

Your Partner in Lifelong Learning,

John M. Fanning
